About the position
At Alpha Suspensions, our suspensions are designed, developed, manufactured and tested right here in Melbourne. We are looking for a welder that has experience in operating the appropriate welding equipment to put together mechanical structures and parts for caravan suspensions with a great deal of precision.
Your job as a welder is important because it provides the foundation for strong infrastructure so you must be competent in using potentially dangerous but necessary tools and equipment while following all safety precautions accordingly.
The ideal candidate should also possess great attention to detail when working under pressure whilst maintaining quality and precision.
Job Responsibilities
- MIG welding and fabrication
- Reading and interpreting fabrication drawings
- Working to welding standards
- Weld components in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead) with either manual or semi-automatic welding equipment
- Test and inspect welded areas, surfaces and structures to ensure quality
- Perform work in compliance with safety standards and procedures
- Maintain equipment in a manner that is safe, effective and up to standard.

- Adhere to all health and safety processes and procedures
